This study guide introduces students to the concept of development. It includes an interactive presentation featuring some cartoons, maps, visualizations and quotes that engage students in thinking about different definitions and measures of development. Separate from the presentation, the lesson also includes a video, a short reading and some quotes/perspectives on development. Each includes comprehension and reflection questions. In the culminating activity, students synthesize their learning from these sources  to write their own definition of development.
